TERMS OF SERVICE
- By completing a booking via The Draft Cut Sew website you are accepting responsibility for reading, understanding, and agreeing to be bound these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms of Service, then you must discontinue your booking.
- If you are booking our courses for participants under the age of 18, we will require you to sign a consent form prior to the class. In this form you will need to specify whether you are happy for your child to make their own way home and disclose any medical conditions that we should be aware of.
- Draft Cut Sew cannot accept liability for loss or damage to work or belongings left unattended.
- While at the Draft Cut Sew workshops, you are agreeing to follow a respectful code of conduct between teachers and students. Any disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to remove participants who do not comply with this code of conduct.
- For the safety of our staff and learners the premises is monitored via CCTV, this can only be accessed by the owner of Draft Cut Sew.
- Any vandalism or purposeful damage to any property will result in a ban from future lessons and may incur a charge to repair any damage caused.
- Our Terms of Service are subject to changes and modifications in the future to reflect changes made to our business or new laws and regulations.

PAYMENTS
Please note: We do not store or share any debit or credit card details or personal info with any 3rd party vendors.
We prefer you to make a booking using our online booking system which takes payments securely via PayPal. Please note that all bookings will be pending until funds have cleared. We accept the following payments:
- PayPal – Via our online booking system. You can also pay with a credit or debit card using PayPal’s secure payment system without having to open a PayPal account.
- All major credit and debit cards – Visa, Maestro and Mastercard. If you are experiencing problems with our online bookings, we may take your payment over the phone. We are not currently accepting American Express payments.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS POLICY
- Draft Cut Sew is a small business hence there are limited availabilities in group classes. Therefore, our classes are usually non-refundable once booked. If at least two weeks’ notice is given, we will endeavour to transfer your booking onto another class if spaces are available. Please get in touch via our contact form to discuss transferring a booking.
- If cancelling a confirmed private tuition class, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice and we shall endeavour to offer alternative bookings and shift lessons to later dates. Upon complete cancellations of private tuition classes, 50% of booking fees shall be refunded.
- If Draft Cut Sew is forced to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you with as much notice as possible and issue a full refund within 10 working days of the cancellation using the billing information from your purchase.
ABSENCE & LATENESS
- We understand students may not be able to attend each week of a course, However we are currently unable to offer makeup classes on simultaneous or future courses for those who miss booked sessions.
PARTICIPANT WAIVER TERMS
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must recognise and understand that sewing is an activity that involves potentially dangerous machinery and equipment and that participation might result in serious injury requiring medical attention.
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must recognise and understand that there may be other risks that are not known to Draft Cut Sew and not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must agree to inform the teacher if they believe anything is unsafe or beyond the participant’s capability and refuse to participate in such circumstances.
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must accept personal responsibility for any damages that may result from injury.
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must understand the importance of following the health and safety guidelines set out by the teacher.
- Participants or Parents/Guardians of participants must agree to sign permission forms and waivers prior to participation in lessons, courses and private tuition at Draft Cut Sew.
GDPR AND PRIVACY POLICY
- Draft Cut Sew retains customer order information when a booking is made on the website. This includes name, address, email and phone number which we will need in order to take payment and communicate with you about your booking.
- Booking a class through our site could automatically sign you up to receive our email newsletter to keep you updated on new classes and workshops at Draft Cut Sew. You are able to unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ on the newsletter.
- If you attend one of our classes, we are required to keep your data for insurance purposes for a period of six months. If, after that time, you would like us to remove your details, please do let us know and we will ensure your personal details are deleted.
- Rest assured that our database may only be accessed by Cut Draft Sew’s owner via password-protected and fingerprint-protected apps and web pages on a PC, tablet or mobile phone device.
- If handwritten cards accompany any of the garments, soft furnishings or alterations we undertake for you, these will be stored in a locked cabinet for accountancy purposes only.
- It is our solemn promise to you that we will not sell, or transfer, your personal data to any third party.
- This privacy policy is subject to updates in the future as changes are made to our business or to reflect new laws and regulations.
