About Me

Since a young age I observed my mum hand stitching, sewing and overall using a needle in the most skilful ways. As I got older, my passion only grew. I became a certified tutor and taught privately at organisations for over 25 years. I decided it was time to take my knowledge, skills and years’ worth of experience and run lessons by myself under my own company. That’s when Draft Cut Sew happened. It opened at the height of the Covid pandemic 2019-2020 and has been growing ever since. I am passionate about teaching this skill since it’s not as widely taught.  Due to my style I always resonated better with designing and making my clothes over buying my clothes. I would be thrilled to help grow another Mariam’s passion through my courses in a more accessible way than I had many years ago.
